About Matich | Vukovich Insurance
Meet Beau Gillman, owner, Matich | Vukovich Insurance Services
Beau Gillman was born and raised in Jackson, California. He is a third generation insurance broker and grandson to Nedjo (Ned) Vukovich, founder of Vukovich Insurance in 1951.
The insurance roots of the Vukovich family tree spread not only deep, but wide; Ned’s brother, Melvin Vukovich, opened his own insurance agency in the Placerville area in 1960. Mel’s three children, Troy, Milan and Aimee are still in the insurance business in El Dorado County. Beau’s cousins, Jeff and Rich Votaw, own and operate Farmer’s Insurance Agencies in Jackson and the Lake Tahoe region, respecively.
Upon Ned’s retirement in the mid-nineties, daughters Maura Gillman and Lana Vukovich took the helm. Beau, armed with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from UCLA and a passion for Amador County, purchased the family business in 2008.
Today, Maura, along with Beau’s dad, Bart, own and operate another Amador County institution: Mel and Faye’s Diner, established in 1956, as well as the newly opened BG’s Lounge in Jackson.
Beau’s off-time includes coaching Freshman football and basketball at his Alma Mater, Argonaut High School, seasonal hunting and enjoying the high lakes of the Sierra Nevada.
For Beau, researching the best insurance coverage available to exactly meet a client’s needs is what it is all about. With his multi-generational connection to both Amador County residents as well as the insurance industry, Beau views clients as not only his customers, but his neighbors, former teachers, friends, acquaintances and even family. Getting to know and understand the person behind the policy sets Beau apart from other insurance brokers.
